Alt KeyTips Navigation

Press and release Alt to reveal badges over every top-level tab. Then type each letter one after another — not held together — to drill into a tool, menu, or dropdown.

Example: Alt chevron_right H chevron_right B chevron_right A → applies All Borders

Escape & Step-Back Logic

Esc steps back one level at a time rather than closing everything at once — useful when you've drilled several levels into a ribbon sequence by mistake.

Step 3 → Step 2 Closes an open submenu or color/border picker, keeping the parent menu open
Step 2 → Step 1 Closes the top-level dropdown, returning to the KeyTip letters (F, E, I, O, A, H)
Step 1 → Inactive Removes all KeyTip badges and returns full control to the grid
Cell Edit Mode Discards unsaved text and restores the cell's original value
Paint Format Mode Exits format painting
undo Quick exit: clicking anywhere in the sheet, pressing an Arrow/Enter/Tab key, or typing outside a popup dismisses KeyTips immediately and returns focus to cell navigation.
