Data Storage - Persistence
Real-time Auto-Save
Sheet changes are persisted to the database within milliseconds of each edit. A browser crash or accidental tab close will not lose any data.
Encrypted at Rest
Sheet data, scripts, and user preferences are stored with AES-256 encryption at rest. Database backups are encrypted before being written to storage.
Automated Backups
Full database backups run daily. Point-in-time recovery is available for up to 7 days. Backup integrity is verified after every run.
No Third-party Data Sharing
Your spreadsheet content, scripts, and watchlists are never sold, shared, or used to train any external model.
Storage Availability
Where your sheet is saved determines where the data physically lives — TrueData never copies or retains data stored in a third-party account.
TrueData Cloud
Stored on TrueData WorkDrive, encrypted at rest. This is the default and recommended destination.
Google Drive
Stays entirely within your own Google account. TrueData does not retain a copy.
OneDrive
Stays entirely within your own Microsoft account. TrueData does not retain a copy.
Dropbox
Stays entirely within your own Dropbox account. TrueData does not retain a copy.
Script Sandbox Security
Isolated JS Runtime
Custom scripts run inside a sandboxed JavaScript runtime with no access to the host filesystem, OS APIs, or network — only the TD.* namespace is exposed.
Memory - CPU Limits
Each script is subject to per-session memory and CPU quotas. A runaway loop or leak is automatically killed and the user is notified without affecting other sessions.
No Outbound Fetch
Scripts cannot make arbitrary HTTP requests to external URLs. All data access goes through the TD.Historical and TD.Feed proxies, which are authenticated and audited.
Script Execution Log
Every script Start/Stop event is logged with timestamp and session ID. TD.log output is persisted per session so you can review it after a script has stopped.
Forced Stop on Logout
Logging out — whether manually or via session timeout — immediately triggers TD.onStop on any running script, cleanly releasing all subscriptions.
Rate-limited TD APIs
All TD.Historical and TD.Feed calls are rate-limited per session to prevent abuse and ensure fair resource sharing.
